What's Included:
What's Included:
- Optional Teensy 4.1 Microcontroller (Recommended): Choose the Teensy-included option for a complete, ready-to-use experience. Other microcontrollers may work with many of the parts, but all projects, wiring diagrams, code, and instructions are designed specifically for the Teensy 4.1 and its powerful 600 MHz platform.
- 1× USB-C to Micro-USB Data Cable, 1 Meter: Used to power and program the Teensy from modern USB-C computers and power adapters.
- 1× Full-Size 830-Point Breadboard: Provide a large central workspace for the Teensy and more complex circuits without soldering.
- 2× 400-Point Half-Size Breadboards:
Useful for separating sensor, power, and actuator circuits or building multiple experiments at once. - 1× 3-AA Battery Holder with On/Off Switch: Provide an independent power source for servos and other components that should not draw power directly from the Teensy’s GPIO pins. Batteries are not included.
- 2× Analog Joystick Modules: Each joystick provides two analog axes and a built-in push-button, supporting games, robotic controls, menus, and dual-stick projects.
- 1× 0.96-Inch 128×64 I²C OLED Display: A compact monochrome screen for displaying text, graphics, sensor readings, menus, and game interfaces using only two communication lines.
- 25× 6×6×4.3 mm Tactile Push Buttons: Momentary switches for digital-input experiments, controllers, keypads, menus, triggers, and custom interfaces.
- 5× GL5528 Photoresistors: Light-sensitive resistors for automatic lighting, brightness measurement, alarms, and environmental-sensing projects.
- 2× HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Distance Sensors: Measure objects approximately 2–400 cm away for obstacle detection, proximity alarms, robotic sensing, and distance-measurement projects. A voltage divider must be used with a standard 5 V HC-SR04 echo output before connecting it to a Teensy input.
- 3× SG90 9 g 180° Positional Servos: Compact servos for robot arms, grippers, steering mechanisms, gauges, pan-and-tilt systems, scanning sensors, and other position-controlled mechanisms. Includes servo horns and mounting hardware.
- 5× Passive Buzzers: Generate programmable tones, alarms, sound effects, and melodies. These low-impedance buzzers are intended to be driven through the included transistor-and-resistor circuit rather than directly from a Teensy GPIO pin.
- 20× 5 mm Diffused Common-Cathode RGB LEDs: Each LED contains independently controlled red, green, and blue channels for color mixing, status indicators, lighting effects, and PWM experiments. Each active color channel requires its own current-limiting resistor.
- 1× 300-Piece Precision Resistor Assortment: Includes 30 resistance values with 10 of each value. The 1/4-watt, 1% metal-film resistors support LEDs, voltage dividers, pull-up and pull-down circuits, transistor drivers, sensors, and analog experiments.
- 1× 100-Piece Ceramic Capacitor Assortment: Includes five practical values with 20 of each, providing components for filtering, decoupling, signal smoothing, timing, and experimentation.
- 2× 10 kΩ Linear Potentiometers: Adjustable analog controls for servo positioning, volume or frequency adjustment, display menus, thresholds, and sensor calibration.
- 25× 2N2222 NPN Transistors: Electronic switching components that allow the Teensy to control buzzers and other loads requiring more current than a GPIO pin should provide. They also support experiments involving switching, amplification, motors, and external loads.
- 50× 20 cm Male-to-Male Jumper Wires: Used for connections between breadboards, the Teensy, LEDs, buttons, resistors, and other through-hole components.
- 20× 20 cm Male-to-Female Jumper Wires: Connect breadboards or Teensy pins to modules with exposed male headers, including the OLED, joysticks, and ultrasonic sensors.
- 10× 20 cm Female-to-Female Jumper Wires: Enable direct connections between male-header devices for custom robotics, enclosure-mounted components, and projects built away from a breadboard.
